Radar Supports the Efforts of Black Lives Matter
If we are not a part of the solution, we are part of the problem. Recent events have made us more aware of a systemic issue of racial injustice in our world. An issue we have wrongfully ignored for far too long. I have discussed the events of the last several weeks with friends and teammates and have been awakened to and educated about the concerns and troubles surrounding the African American community. A good friend told me about his experiences of injustice and stated - "…we all have a story." It is heartbreaking to know that so many have had negative experiences with law enforcement who have vowed to protect and serve the community, solely based on their race. This statement affected me more than I expected. It left me saddened and disappointed that we have had such a blind eye and have not taken a stronger stance against this injustice sooner.
I ask those of you who do not truly understand the totality of these troubles to ask more questions, research the issues being discussed, and to take a stance against inequality and outright cruelty. As the brother of a long-time police officer, I have the utmost respect for the work they do and acknowledge that this is not an "every cop" issue. I believe no parent should have to raise their child in a society that does not do all that they can to eradicate racial biases in those sworn to serve and protect us all.
We at Radar proudly serve several black owned banks across the United States and we support the fight against racial injustice. We have decided to pledge our contribution of $10,000 to the Black Lives Matter movement to show our support as a company. We hope that everyone will support this fight until justice and equality is provided to all regardless of the color of their skin.
Sincerely,
Ray Chiamulera President, Founder
